Millésime 2005
Mar/Apr 08 - Medium red. High-toned aromas of redcurrant and oak, with a whiff of varnish. Supple and rather high-pitched, with good life to the spicy, floral red fruit flavors. The cooler side of 2005: not particularly fleshy but shows good lift and length. Finishes with firm, slightly dry tannins. 87
Millésime 2006
January 2009 - Noticeable but not overwhelming wood spice frames naturally spicy and quite ripe black and blue fruit aromas that precede the relatively rich, sweet and sappy flavors where the sap completely buffers the buried tannins, all wrapped in a mouth coating and persistent finish that displays a bit of youthful austerity as well as a touch of backend minerality. This is pretty enough but the wood is not subtle and indeed too much for me. 2012+ 87
January 2008 - Noticeable but not dominant wood spice frames naturally spicy and quite ripe black and blue fruit aromas that precede the relatively rich, sweet and sappy flavors where the sap completely buffers the buried tannins, all wrapped in a mouth coating and persistent finish. A competent if not truly distinguished villages. 2011+ 86-88
Mar/Apr 08 - Medium bright red. Lively aromas of red cherry, minerals and spices. Supple red fruit and spice flavors are perked up by a mineral component. Shows a slight medicinal quality and finishes with good length and a note of tobacco. 86-88
Millésime 2007
Tasted in London with Justerini & Brooks and at BBR. This is very closed on the nose, quite earthy and tight but the palate is better, revealing some lively red-berried fruit, quite succulent with strawberry and boysenberry. Moderate length. Safe and dependable. Drink now-2012. Tasted January 2009. 88-90
January 2009 - This is very Vosne in personality and character with a very spicy dark berry fruit nose and a hint of minerality that is picked up by the rich, full and generous flavors that possess good precision and a seductive mouth feel on the balanced and persistent finish. 2011+ 87-89
