Millésime 2005
Blind tasting, Sept. 2008 - Medium-full colour. Good vigour and intensity on the nose. Lovely fruit if not a blackbuster. Round, ripe, succulent and oaky on the palate. Fruity and abundant. Good grip. Long, complex and classy. Fine plus. From 2015. 18.0
January 2008 - (from the climats of Les Rouges du Bas, les Cruots and Clos St-Denis). Moderate oak influence combines with brooding but exceptionally pretty and very spicy dark berry and plum aromas that dissolve into the rich, sweet and sappy flavors that possess so much extract that there’s a chewy but not inelegant quality to the intense and linear finish where a hint of menthol surfaces. This isn’t rustic but it knocks on the door of it. Still, I found this very ripe beauty to be most impressive and it should reward amply 10 to 15 years of patience. 2017+ 93
Mar/Apr 08 - Good deep red. Strawberry, mocha, nutty oak and a meaty nuance on the nose; lower-toned than the Vosne premier crus. Supple, broad, ripe and dry; displaying more volume than complexity or perfume today. But here the broad tannins are sweeter and arrive later. The wine's chewy material suggests it will reward extended aging, but I still find this a tad rustic. 89(+?)?
Millésime 2006
Tasted in 2009 - Medium-full colour. Cool, stylish, aromatic nose. Ripe and medium-full bodied on the palate. Good energy. Stylish, fresh, profound and long on the palates. Impressive. From 2015. 18.0
January 2009 - (from the climats of Les Rouges du Bas, Les Cruots and Clos St.-Denis). A very attractive blend of black fruit, Vosne spice and a moderate dollop of new wood introduces rich, full and notably ripe flavors that possess good volume and a velvety, indeed almost suave finish that cannot disguise the impressive power and robust structure. This will require the better part of a decade to fully resolve the slightly rustic tannic spine. 2014+ 90

10 Sep. 2009 - Deep crimson. Fresh nose. Very sweet and lively. Good punch and energy. Just a bit tough on the end. Drink 2012-19. 17
Mar/Apr 08 - Good bright red. Aromas of redcurrant, mocha and tobacco. Supple, sweet and essentially soft, with flavors of red fruits, minerals and nutty oak. In a rich yet elegant style, but a bit oaky on the back. 88-91
"Déjà Bu" Tasting, 2009 17.10 (all testers, avg.)
Millésime 2007
January 2009 - (from the climats of Les Rouges du Bas, Les Cruots and Clos St.-Denis). An expressive nose blends red and blue pinot fruit, violet, rose petal and smoked jerky that is trimmed in noticeable oak that continues onto the rich, seductive and suave flavors that finish with lovely power and depth. This is on the oaky side at present but the underlying material appears up to the task of integrating it with a few years in bottle. 2015+ 90-93
